If you were living in the Antebellum South pre-1860 as a white person, would you have had the guts to stand up and declare slavery immoral and reprehensible, even if it meant you would be declared insane and unemployable? Would you have been willing to stand up, even if it meant your own family and friends would disown you for being a crazy "nigger lover?"
