Gosh, I sure don't blog much
I guess I'm just not very 21st Century. These kids today have so much time on their hands for their fancy blogs and whatnot, but we adults have to put food on the table. It's a darn shame.
So what's going on in my world? Not much, really. A nasty cold has knocked me on my butt for the past week. Basically, I work and sleep. I wish I had more time for nobler pursuits like volunteering for the presidential campaign of my favorite candidate. He/She (Isn't it great to live in an age when presidential candidates can be men or women!) will have to content themselves with my little contributions.
Aren't gas prices crazy? The last time I filled up my Hummer, it cost over a hundred bucks. Just kidding. I don't drive a Hummer. In fact, I don't drive anything these days. It's so cool to live in a place where the lack of a car is more liberating than confining. I hope the next president and Congress invest in mass transit so the rest of America can enjoy the freedom we have here in New York -- the freedom to not need a car. Gas prices are apparently headed so high that nobody will be able to afford a car anyway so they might as well put in a few more rails and bike trails. I do feel sorry for everybody who's feeling the high price of gas (and everything else) these days. I'm not feeling it as much, but that's mainly because I live like a monk.
Well, that's my report. Have a nice day!
